Twitter Moments is available to select Celebrities and Brands. It is revealed that Twitter will give some additional feature to few ‘groups of creators which will allow them to manage their tweets for some special events and soon this functionality will be made available for all of its users.
Twitter Moments for brands and celebrities was initially called Project Lightning and it is playing a very prominent role in company’s marketing efforts. Prior to this launch, moments were getting managed by either Twitter’s editorial team or a limited group of partners such as BuzzFeed, Entertainment Weekly, Getty Images, NASA, The New York Times, Vogue, and Major League Baseball. The person who will get moment feature is Civil rights activist DeRay McKesson who is really open about his connection with Twitter.
“Moments allows us to collect and curate tweets to tell stories in new ways. It’s a powerful Twitter feature, continuing to help build community as we engage specific topics and events,” Mckesson said in a statement.
Twitter is not disclosing any information about its new feature. They are not ready to provide any insight about how can a moment get created but as per the reports to be believed that it is possible that moments will be created by the help of more than single app. Every created moment will get included into the Moments tab.
